What We Did
Google Drive–Powered Document Management
We implemented a Google Drive integration that allows teachers and staff to update
Board Agendas and compliance documents simply by uploading files to designated
Drive folders.
There’s no need to edit website pages or re-upload PDFs into WordPress. Staff update
the appropriate Google Drive folder and the website reflects those changes, keeping
public records organized and up to date with minimal effort.
Faculty & Staff Management System
Instead of hard-coding staff profiles into static pages, we built a structured
Faculty & Staff management system. Internal IT staff can add, edit, or remove
team members from a central dashboard without touching page layouts or risking
design issues.
This makes it easy to keep staff information accurate as roles change, people join,
and people move on, without needing to call a developer for every update.
Google Calendar Sync
We connected the school’s Google Calendar directly to the website so events stay
in sync automatically. Administrators update Google Calendar as usual and the
website updates itself, eliminating double entry and reducing the chance of
outdated event information.
Centralized Resource Portal
Previously, resources like PDFs and links were scattered across various subpages.
We replaced that with a centralized Resource Portal built on a structured
content system.
Resources are now:
- Organized into clear categories
- Easy to browse and filter
- Managed from a single backend location
This turns the Resources area into a true portal, not just a collection of links,
making it easier for families and staff to find what they need.
Blog & Update System
We implemented a blog and announcements system intended for updates such as
Student of the Month and other school news. While it’s not currently in active use,
the framework is in place and ready to be leveraged when the school is ready to
publish regular updates.
Structured Form System with Portal Integration
We set up a form system that routes submissions directly into the One Up Client
Portal. This allows CCCS to:
- Capture inquiries and submissions through the website
- Store them in a centralized space outside of WordPress
- Track and respond to submissions more reliably over time
The Outcome
Children’s Community Charter School now runs on a structured website foundation
that goes beyond a typical school site. Document publishing is simpler, staff and
resource information is easier to manage, and key areas like events and forms are
tied into tools the team already uses.
The end result is a school website that is not only more useful for families and
students, but also significantly easier for staff to maintain behind the scenes.
