1-Day Website Pre-Build Checklist

Before Build Day, make sure you’ve shared everything needed to create a site that actually represents your business. This list covers the essentials—check off what you’ve got, and don’t stress if you’re missing a few pieces. The goal is to have as much as possible ready before we start.

Business Info

• Business name (exactly as you want it shown)
• Tagline or short description
• Contact email and phone number
• Physical address (if you want it displayed)
• Business hours (if applicable)
• Social media links

Domain & Access

• Confirm domain name and registrar (GoDaddy, Google Domains, etc.)
• Share access or send a temporary login if needed
• Confirm where your current email is hosted (to avoid interruptions)

Branding

• Logo (SVG or high-res PNG preferred)
• Brand colors or style guide (if you have one)
• Fonts or preferred text styles
• Any inspiration links or example sites you like

Photos & Media

• Team or owner headshots
• Business/location photos
• Product or service images
• Optional: short intro video or testimonial clips

Content

• About section draft (even rough notes are fine)
• Services or product list with short descriptions
• Pricing info or call-to-action (what you want people to do next)
• Testimonials or client quotes
• Any legal text (privacy policy, terms, disclaimers)

Technical Setup

• Google Analytics account (or confirm we should create one)
• Access to any existing site or hosting if migrating
• Business Gmail or email address for forms and contact

Optional Add-Ons

• Booking link or appointment system
• Newsletter signup details or email list access
• Online store products (if applicable)
• Any special integrations you’d like (CRM, forms, etc.)

Final Prep for Build Day

• Respond quickly to any messages from Dakota or the One Up team
• Be available for approvals or quick decisions during the build
• Have any must-have photos, text, or logins ready to go
